Supporting Environmental Education and Communities (SEEC)

University of Arizona Community and School Garden Program
Tucson, Arizona

Supporting Environmental Education and Communities (SEEC) aims to increase interest in environmental science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (E-STEM) among K-12 students in Title I schools in the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD). SEEC is part of the donor-funded Community and School Garden Program (CSGP) that trains school children and their teachers to use school gardens to undertake E-STEM research. SEEC directly connects school garden teachers and learners with environmental scientists doing cutting-edge environmental research, supporting them to use their gardens to ask questions and collect and analyze data that supplements ongoing environmental experiments being conducted by local scientists.
