STEM Gains STEAM: Environmental Stewards of Cape Cod

Cape Cod Maritime Museum is making a life changing difference in the lives of our youth. We teach children boat building and maritime-themed STEM classes, which develop academic and employment skills, build self-esteem in participants and strengthens our community. The Museum’s program, STEM Gains STEAM: Environmental Stewards of Cape Cod, was guided by the Museum’s mission “Protect, Preserve and Promote Cape Cod’s Maritime Past, Present and Future”. The result is meaningful, long lasting impacts on maritime historic and environmental preservation, while providing hands-on, experiential classes as a pathway to a sense of purpose and a connection to the greater community.
