The Environmental and Community Leaders Fellowship empowers young adults from diverse, urban backgrounds in Knoxville, Tennessee to develop into the next generation of environmental innovators. Fellows build their environmental literacy and personal connection to nature through a pathway of experiences in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the urban green spaces of Knoxville. Each fellow then takes ownership of leadership opportunities to create a healthier, safer, and more just future in East Tennessee through a combination of grassroots stewardship, developing localized solutions to pressing environmental issues, and building equitable and relevant access to engagement with nature in their communities.
